I didn’t exactly wander in Shenzhen. Mainly because staying out over two minutes will literally be the death of me. 3 degrees celsius wasn’t the kind of cold my body can take in yet.
So I contented myself in the comforts of our hotel room taking photos, eating, sleeping, and occasionally, reading.
“There’s a snake in my boot!”
She finally opened the box. And on the way to Shenzhen, she played with Woody in the train.
Origami balls.
Fifteen minutes. Sue, our tour guide, was in a hurry. We left Windows of the World after no more than fifteen minutes and I only got to take a couple of pictures including this. Origami balls from a street seller walking nearby.
Nico took a blurred photo of me looking like a Chinese girl. Ni Hao!
Duck face.
Nico and I found this small rock mountain in the park so we decided to take pictures. And this, according to him, is his “duck face.” Right…
I can’t quite figure it out, though. But nice try! Haha
Travel by foot.
Despite the freezing weather, we all went out to hunt for Mcdonald’s. There were but a few open restaurants around the hotel and because it was Chinese New Year, there weren’t any open markets to shop to either.
Needless to say, walking in and touring the city wasn’t that bad. I enjoyed it the most.
Memories.
We went strolling in the park during the first night. It rained a little but Alex didn’t seem to mind. She went about and played with this horse.
Two-ish days to go!
Stumbled upon the video. I can’t help but press the play button over and over again.
I have. Most of the time, actually. There are just days when I just couldn’t figure out what to feel. I’m not happy nor am I sad; not quite giddy nor angry; never psyched nor bored. Just… Meh.
This past few days, have been very much like that. And when people ask how I am, I’m like ‘I don’t know yet…’
It’s weird having to feel that way.
Breakfast Enchilada.
You’re making me want to eat again.
Being away from the family [especially on New Year’s Eve] never felt so terrible. I’m so glad I have today to spend with at home.
